Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Patriot Fence & Stain website and the process of requesting an estimate from us. They are not the contract for the work itself — the scope, price and schedule of any job live in the written quote and work agreement we send you, and that document controls if anything here conflicts with it.
Estimates and quotes
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. We measure most fence lines by satellite geo-mapping from the address and photos you send. That method is accurate for the great majority of properties, but it depends on the information you give us being correct and current.
A written quote is valid for 30 days from the date we send it. We may revise a quote before work begins if the fence line differs materially from what we measured, if conditions on site were not visible in your photos or from satellite imagery, or if the scope changes at your request. If a revision is needed, we tell you before any work starts — never after.
Pricing and payment
There is no deposit on staining jobs under $10,000. Payment for those jobs is due on completion, once you have walked the finished work with us and you are satisfied. All installations require 25% down before work begins, and stain jobs of $10,000 or more also require 25% down.
Prices quoted are for the scope described in the quote. Additional work discovered or requested mid-job is quoted separately and requires your approval before we proceed.
Scheduling and weather
Fence staining depends on weather and on the moisture content of the wood. We test every fence with a moisture meter and will not stain wood that is too wet, because doing so causes the finish to fail. That means scheduled dates can move, and we will keep you informed when they do. Delays caused by weather or wood moisture are not a breach of these terms or of the work agreement.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate property information, and confirm that you own the fence or are authorized to have work done on it.
- Provide access to the fence line on the scheduled dates, including gate codes and unlocking gates.
- Secure pets and move vehicles, furniture, planters and other items away from the fence line, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- Tell us in advance about sprinklers, low-voltage wiring, invisible pet fencing, septic components or anything else buried or hidden near the fence line.
- Where an HOA or covenant governs color or materials, confirm the approved specification with us before we order or begin.
Our work and our guarantee
We stand behind the work. If something is not right when we walk the finished fence with you, we fix it. On standard jobs, you do not pay until you are satisfied.
What we cannot guarantee is the wood itself. Cedar is a natural material and it moves — boards cup, split, check and warp with Oklahoma’s humidity and temperature swings, and that behavior is a property of the wood rather than a defect in our work. Nor can we guarantee the structural condition of a fence we did not build, or the performance of a finish applied over a previous coating we did not remove.
Where we have provided a specific written warranty on a job, that document sets out its own terms and duration and takes precedence over this section.
Photography
We photograph completed work and may use those photographs in our portfolio, on this website and in marketing. Photographs are of the fence and property, not of people, and we do not publish addresses. If you would rather we did not photograph your project, tell us and we will not.
Website content
Everything on this site — copy, photography, the logo and the design — belongs to Patriot Fence & Stain unless credited otherwise, and may not be reproduced without permission. Customer reviews quoted on this site are published verbatim from public Google reviews.
Content on this site is provided for information. Guidance on staining, wood care and DIY methods is offered in good faith based on our experience, but every fence is different and we cannot be responsible for the outcome of work you carry out yourself.
Communication
When you submit a quote request, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text or email about that request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. How we handle the information you send us is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Oklahoma law, our liability arising from the work or from your use of this site is limited to the amount paid for the job in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma. We may update them, and the date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
